Manzanar National Historic Site preserves stories of a regrettable time in US history. The Eastern Sierras provide a dramatic backdrop for the cemetery monument, 慰靈塔 translates Soul Consoling Tower. I have never visited a national park site as emotionally moving as Manzanar. Let this never happen again.

I am mostly a nature photographer, all things big and small. I started exploring US National Parks in 1977 and 20 years later became a Park Ranger. Spending much of my time outdoors working summers I shoot what I see on a daily basis. Winters I typically travel seeking new adventures and places. Because I live in a RV, I take home with me. Except when I travel in South Africa and then I tent camp in their amazing national parks. Through photographic story, I strive to inspire positive change in myself and others that impacts the world.
